Think you have what it takes to spook a librarian with just two sentences? Enter your Two-Sentence Spooky Story Challenge for a chance to win a Haunted Cookie House Decorating kit! 

Your story should be:

• Only two sentences long!
• Typed and printed, with your first and last name, age, and a good phone number or email to reach your parent or guardian by.
• Submitted to a Children’s Librarian by Wednesday, October 15th

All submissions will be displayed in the Children’s area until November 1st! The winner’s story will be featured on the display. The winner will be contacted by phone or email by Friday, October 17th.

"I never understood why no one wanted to take anything from my great aunt’s attic after she died. That is, I never understood until tonight, when I walked past the ornate mirror I had claimed for myself, and my reflection didn’t move with me."

"There once was an evil monster contained in a two-sentence story, only able to become real and eat your flesh once you finished reading the story. This is that story."
